Volunteers

Each year the Thunder On The Lakeshore Airshow is made possible by the efforts of hundreds of volunteers. With a standing committee of approximately 65 members, and hundreds of more volunteers for both days of the show, this monumental effort of putting on an air show that draws up to 45,000 people over two days is no easy task. There are many and varied areas of work necessary to put on an air show, and the expert volunteers on the committee make it all happen.

If you happen to see somebody walking around with an airshow staff shirt or volunteer vest please take a moment to thank them. The show isn't possible without them. Elsewhere in this program, you'll find a list of the committee members and their areas of expertise. They could be your friends, coworkers, neighbors. If you know one of them, please tell them "thanks!" They are the heart and soul of this Airshow. They put in countless 1000's of hours and really care about bringing you the best entertainment value in Manitowoc County. Some have been with us all 17 years; others are "newbies" to the crew and experiencing their first show from the "inside". Hats off to them all!

We're always looking to add new enthusiast members to our team. Aviation experience not required.
